NORTHWOOD MARCHING CHARGERS CAPTURES TOP SPOT 2ND WEEK IN A ROW

1st things 1st. Best wishes to Sabrina, Kalaindie & Lauren. For those of you not at the Sanford competition yesterday, these 3 young ladies injured their ankles. I hope they all recover quickly and are able to participate in next weeks competition at North Davidson. Good luck girls!!

CONGRATULATIONS to our Marching Charger Band for taking 1st place in Division AA yesterday in Sanford. It was a great performance on a very "messy" field. Mud was the standard. We all felt so sorry for every band due to the conditions they had to perform in. They did extremely well in adverse conditions. We are proud of the students and the show they put on.

The Marching Chargers took 1st place in most of the captions and scored an 81 for a rating of Superior. For the 2ND week in a row, they were crowned "Champions" in Class AA. "Way to go Chargers".

Cottrell proved to the crowd that he has the "Best Looks" one week after taking the top prize of being the "Ugliest" guy on the field. We have a very versatile leader. Congratulations Cottrell!! You are the BEST, regardless of your looks!

We all have one more opportunity to see the 2007-2008 Marching Charger Band perform this years program. This will be next Saturday @ North Davidson High School. I encourage you to make plans to be there.

Senior Class. I beg you to soak up this weeks events. After four hard and very rewarding years, your high school marching band career is coming to a close. We want you to know you have made us PROUD. Thank you for all you have given to your school and community.

To all of you. My desire is for you to enjoy the memories on this blog for years to come.

Congratulations to the Marching Chargers and Mr. Cottrell and all the volunteers who have worked so hard to support the Band. I went with another "retired band parent" to yesterday's competition and was so proud of the performance itself (both band cand color guard) and the entire group's effort under such adverse conditions. Thanks for such a fun time!

Having a blog is a great idea, too. It makes it so easy for the greater community to keep up with the Marching Chargers.

Thanks to all who helped Lauren finish out the day!!! With ice, rest, and Motrin, she is ready to march. Hope that Sabrina and Kalaindie are doing as well.
Let's hope that N. Davidson is not as muddy.

Thanks again to our Band family!
