NHS BAND AT UNC CONCESSIONS SEPT. 5TH 2009

I can't say "Thank You" enough to the students and parents who worked yesterday at UNC Concessions. It was busy beyond description. It also was somewhat caotic with it being our 1st concession of the year and it was compounded by it being our first gig with Aarmak. There were MANY bumps in the road but I will only focus on the positive things and hope that all the negatives will be sorted out before the next UNC game. (All bumps related to Aarmak issues)

When we 1st got there I felt we probably had more students than we needed. As things progressed, I realized that it was going to be really busy. With the addition of "Credit/Debit" card terminals to all concession stands, it proved to be more profitable for our club with increased sales. Last years opening game our two stands combined had total sales of around $11,000.00. Yesterdays combined sales for both stands totaled over $17,000.00. This is a HUGE increase. It is my feeling that this trend will continue and we need to have a huge # of workers for each game. I especially want to congratulate our "1st time" workers. We had several parents and students who was working at UNC for the 1st time. Thank you for all the work and for hanging in there.

Thank you to the managers who arrived at 2 PM at UNC and walked out the gate at 11:50 PM. We could not do this fund raiser without the managers. Thank you for your dedication and leadership!!!

With that said, our next UNC concessions is on Saturday Sept. 19th. Game time is 12:00 Noon. Please sign up today if you have not already done so. You can e-mail me at legacymillwork@mindspring.com or on facebook.

I have uploaded some photos for you to enjoy that were taken at yesterdays game.

Go Chargers!!!
