Northwood Marching Charger Band excited about our 2010 marching band season!

Welcome to the 2010 NHS Marching Charger Band Season. Mr. C's Marching Chargers have just completed their 2-week Band Camp and are deep in preparation for their 2010 show. Band Camp closed out on Thursday night, August 19th with "Parent Preview Night" with a bang. Well over 150 folks were in attendance to see the charger band and color guard perform. The NHS Band Family was treated to a "summer time" cook out and delicious deserts. A great time was had by all.

We would like to especially say thanks to Buddy Seagroves and Todd O'Daniel for preparing the dogs and burgers.

NHS MARCHING CHARGERS WRAPS UP AN "ALL SUPERIOR" SEASON

Our NHS Marching Chargers completed the season on Saturday, Oct. 31st with a "Superior" performance at Lee Senior High School in Sanford, NC. The Marching Chargers capped off the season with a 1st place finish in the Class 2-A Division with an 89.5 point rating. This proved to be a higher score than all but 2 of the bands competing in the event. Only 4-A Southview and 4-A Pinecrest had slightly higher scores. Considering the 4-A schools have more than twice the band members than Northwood, our band should hold their heads high and have a "Great" feeling of accomplishment for the day and the season. Parents and fans couldn't be any more proud that what we are of this group of young adults. Thank you to Mr.Cottrell and his staff for a great season and for having such an influence on these young adults and their band career.

Congratulations to our 16 Senior Class members who have closed out their last two years of competitions with all "Superior" performances. We love you guys and thank you for the leadership you have provided.
